Before, musicians sent out demo tapes to major music labels with the hope of landing a recording contract. Now, those days are gone and more up-and-coming singers and musicians are finding ways of kick starting their own career online.
However, Annabel Linquist didn't initially set out to do that.
The prolific musician, on a whim, decided to post a song on her friend's Facebook wall using the social network's iLike program, the Los Angeles Times reports. Others grabbed onto the idea and eventually commissioned Linquist to write a quick song about someone they like...
